Coimbatore: CII hosted the Tamil Nadu State Council meeting on 1st Dec 2017 at Coimbatore. The event brought together all State Council members on a regular basis. Mr. Premchand C, Partner and Executive Director at Avalon Consulting was invited to address the audience, and he shared with them views on the state of the economy of India and Tamil Nadu. An overview of the country’s macro-economy and important drivers was provided, followed by some highlights about the state’s economy.
The presentation mentions multiple ideas for attracting investment and building the TN economy, including the idea of attracting Chinese investment to the state of Tamil Nadu, in specific high potential industries like the renewables and allied manufacturing sectors, and assembly of mobile electronics.
