China’s Enduring Role in Global Supply Chains Despite Shifting Assembly Trends

Even if assembly moves to other countries like Vietnam or India, components often still originate from China, underscoring the enduring centrality of China in global supply chains. He also notes that Indian companies are in the nascent stages of developing such supply chains, with only partial movement away from China despite some progress in assembling circuit boards locally.
